Banana bread is one of my favorite sweet treats. This bread is made using nutrient dense ingredients so you can feel good about the food you are putting in your body.
Ingredients
2 cups of oats
1 cup of whole wheat flour
2 ripe bananas
1 ½ tablespoons of ground flax
¼ cup of plant milk
1 ½ teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
½ cup of pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon of sea salt
½ cup of vegan dark chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add ground flax to the soy milk, whisk with a fork and set aside for about 5 minutes. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl, minus the chocolate chips that will be folded in last. Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl then add to the dry ingredients. Mix the ingredients together. Fold chocolate chips in last. Line a bread pan with parchment paper and dump in your mix. Cook at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
