If you are running low on time, you can skip sauteing the veggies before blending. I’ve made this recipe without sauteing and warming after blending and it was still delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 can of black beans (rinsed and drained) or 2 cups of cooked beans

  • 1 tablespoon of water

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 1 can of mild green chilies

  • 1 tablespoon of tahini

  • ¼ cup of diced yellow onion

  • 1 jalapeno

  • 1 teaspoon of cumin

  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt

  • ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika

Extras:

  • Avocado

  • Cilantro

Preparation

Dice onion, garlic, and jalapeno. Add to a small skillet and saute for 4-5 minutes (add a tablespoon of water if the onion begins to stick to the pan). Add all of the ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Scoop mix into the small skillet and warm on low/medium heat for 5 minutes. Top with avocado and cilantro.
